At Detroit Chocolat, we are fans of all things that taste good. Certainly, beer falls into that category (along with a whole bunch of other side benefits), so we paired up with Sherwood Brewing Company in Shelby Township to create an event featuring two of our favorite things. All the information you need is right here (choco_beer) – just call up our friends at Sherwood to reserve your spot ahead of time. Your taste buds can thank us later!
Summer is always great in Michigan, but we have to admit that we have fallen in love with Fall at Detroit Chocolat. Aside from all the usual things we enjoy (apple orchards, cooler temps, and FOOTBALL), we have a cart load of new products to roll out for 2014. Just a hint of things to come –
Pumpkin Spice Pecan Briddle – Double Layer “Detroiter” Boxes – Holiday Edition Pewabic “Detroiter” Boxes – Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolat – Caramel Macchiato Briddle -
As promised, we will bring back (starting in October – or perhaps a little sooner) our Belgian Hot Chocolat drinks as well as our Motor City Peanut Briddle, Dark Chocolat Orange Peel, Sponge Candy, and all your favorite Halloween Treats. Stay tuned – as your Fall Favorites hit the shelves, we will post pictures for you to salivate over.
Monday (September 1st) is Labor Day. Like many of you, we will take some time to be with our family and prepare ourselves for another busy season of working hard at what we love to do. In the event that you are looking for a special treat to bring on vacation or just need something to snack on while you drive up north, Detroit Chocolat will be open Thursday 11-7, Friday 11-8, and Saturday 11-4. And yes, that is what Michigan would look like…if it were made of chocolate chips.
Three pack Cornerless Chocolat Bars and Cupsters in 5 oz bags are now available at Detroit Chocolat and a few of our favorite places around town (Vince and Joe’s Fruit Market and Michigan By The Bottle). For those of you unable to visit us in person, stay tuned for an update to our website featuring some of your DC favorites.
** UPDATE ** The Web Store changes are just about finished up – check out all the new items on line by clicking on the products links for Cornerless Chocolat Bars, Cupsters, or Boxed Chocolat above.
The fine folks over at The Popped Kernel delivered another order of fresh gourmet popcorn this week and we are excited to announce two new flavors – Sea Salt Caramel & Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel. Along with some updated packaging, our favorite caramel corn just got a little more irresistible.
We already know the answer to that question, so don’t bother emailing to let us know. Just come on over to DC this week and pick up some awesome treats for Mom before its too late (Mother’s Day is this Sunday). We highly recommend the chocolate covered strawberries – available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ONLY.
As you know, there are no bad days in a chocolate store and today was no different. In addition to rolling out a whole bunch of new Easter items this year, we also have some old favorites available – Foiled Chocolate Eggs, Spice Jelly Beans, and Fruit Jelly Beans. Easter at Detroit Chocolat just got a little more delicious today!
Easter is still a few weeks away (April 20th), but its never to early to spring into action and pick up some treats at Detroit Chocolat. So don’t let the cold temps, potholes, and slowly melting snow piles get you down, eating a little chocolate is sure to make you feel a little better.
Our Easter treats will continue to multiply in the weeks ahead…in case you want to “hop” in more than once.
Like many of you, we are huge fans of salty, crunchy, and sweet combinations. Pictured below is a handful of our milk chocolate covered sea salt peanuts. We would be happy to give you a sample, but consider yourself warned…they are very addicting.
