As you know, there are no bad days in a chocolate store and today was no different. In addition to rolling out a whole bunch of new Easter items this year, we also have some old favorites available – Foiled Chocolate Eggs, Spice Jelly Beans, and Fruit Jelly Beans. Easter at Detroit Chocolat just got a little more delicious today!
Easter is still a few weeks away (April 20th), but its never to early to spring into action and pick up some treats at Detroit Chocolat. So don’t let the cold temps, potholes, and slowly melting snow piles get you down, eating a little chocolate is sure to make you feel a little better.
Our Easter treats will continue to multiply in the weeks ahead…in case you want to “hop” in more than once.
Like many of you, we are huge fans of salty, crunchy, and sweet combinations. Pictured below is a handful of our milk chocolate covered sea salt peanuts. We would be happy to give you a sample, but consider yourself warned…they are very addicting.
It never hurts to do a little research, taste testing, and product development and at Detroit Chocolat we are all about trying something new. We made the trip out to San Francisco this year for the Winter Fancy Food Show and hope to bring back some fresh ideas and flavors to DC for this year. Keep checking back to see what we come up with in the weeks ahead – going to be a very delicious year.
At Detroit Chocolat, we are always “keeping it real”…as in really delicious and really local. Pictured above is another batch of our famous Motor City Peanut Briddle, made with locally grown and supplied ingredients. Stop in and pick up a bag of Briddle, a “Detroiter” Assortment box, or a delicious treat from our collection of Michigan’s finest confectioners and food producers such as Dave’s Sweet Tooth, Kelly’s Karamels, Germack Pistachio Company, The Popped Kernel Popcorn Company, Great Lakes Coffee Roasters, Better Made Snacks, Cherry Republic, and Koeze Peanut Butter…your friends and family will thank you for “shopping local first” this Christmas.
Just in time for the holiday season, here is the new and improved version of our “Detroiter” box! We are proud to say that the city of Detroit now has its own box of chocolate to enjoy…you almost have to wonder what took so long? The box comes in two different versions containing 8 ounces (16 pieces) of chocolate. You can get your very own “Detroiter” with or without a 4″ x 4″ Pewabic Old Detroit Tile. Thanks again to the creative staff at Pewabic Tile Detroit for doing the artwork for the lid and working with us every step of the way.
We run a pretty tight ship over here at DC, but sometimes we have something so cool that we have to share it. As of this morning, we are in the process of finalizing a very cool update to our “Detroiter” box…just in time for the fourth quarter. Don’t want to give away the whole secret just yet, so here is a clue (A very well known pottery organization in Detroit has teamed up with us to create our newest gift item). Will post again next week with the finished product, stay tuned!
Take a look for yourself…the Peanut “Better” Cup. We have been working on this project for some time now, and are happy to say that our Peanut “Better” Cups will be available for the first time this weekend. Made with all natural peanut butter from Michigan’s own Koeze Peanut Butter and sprinkled with sea salt, it doesn’t get any “Better”.
Tune in to AM 760 (WJR) this weekend to learn all about your favorite chocolate store and our approach to “making your life delicious”. Casey was entertaining as always and shared a lot about what makes Detroit Chocolat special. We will update this post once the podcast is made available online.
