our Story
With support from two generations of Morley and Petz family members providing expertise in chocolate making dating back almost a century, Detroit Chocolat was founded in 2010 by the husband and wife duo of Casey and Lauren Petz, The company launched a retail store operation in Sterling Heights, MI and continued operations in a brick-and-mortar location from 2010-2016. Today, we serve our customers exclusively through our Detroit Chocolat web store, direct home delivery, business to business sales, and through wholesale accounts with our retail partners. Our family has always had a passion for chocolates and confections, and our unique line of chocolat products is a reflection of our approach. We keep it simple, fresh (every product is made to order), and delicious. We are proud to sell and share some of Michigan's finest chocolate products that are backed by three generations of chocolate know-how and expertise.
